IASTM is a treatment technique used to help improve the healing and recovery of soft tissue injuries. During an IASTM treatment, handheld medical grade steel tools are used to apply pressure to your skin and muscles, sometimes in fanning motions and other times in massaging motions. Discomfort is normal during the treatment, but it should never be painful. You may also experience marks on your skin as a result of the session. After your therapy, there may be a minor inflammatory reaction in the affected area. This is a normal part of the healing process, and the affected area may also be tender or sore for a few days after the treatment. - Offered by Lyvia
Myofascial cupping is a modality that creates suction between the silicone cup and your tissue. It can help to increase circulation, help with pain relief, and increase range of motion and soft tissue mobility. Massage is a positive pressure as we're mostly pushing down into the muscle/tissue. Cupping is a negative pressure, as it pulls the tissue up. It's a different stimulus for your tissue and nervous system and might be what you need to start feeling some relief. Sometimes there may be discomfort, but the pressure can be easily adjusted as it should never be painful. With most people, marks are left behind after the cups are removed. This is not bruising but simply an increase in circulation to the areas treated. If marks are left behind, they should disappear within a few days up to a week. Cupping is used in conjunction with massage, so you won't be missing out on that part if you decide to try it! - Offered by Lauren & Lyvia
Due to the size and nature of this business, late cancellations have a huge impact. As an appointment is a reservation of our time, we respectfully ask for 24 hours notice from the start time of your appointment for all canceled and rescheduled appointments, although at least 48 hours is much more appreciated.
Cancellations and changes made to appointments (i.e. requests to reschedule, or changing from 90 minutes to 60 minutes) made with less than 24 hours notice will be charged 100% of the service fee. If you are suddenly unable to make your appointment, you are able to send someone in your place to avoid the late cancellation fee. We understand that emergencies can arise, these will be dealt with case by case.
A credit card on file is required to book an appointment, and will be charged in the event of a no-show or late cancellation. We appreciate your understanding when having to enforce this.
